I am a designer who is committed to working towards social change. Deeply intrigued by the intersectionality of living experiences, my work uses design thinking to understand and leverage the systems in which we live and exist to solve social issues. It’s articulation takes the form of a myriad of possible strategies such as narratives, services, spaces and speculations.
Background and Experience
An architect by training, I have always been fascinated by the nexus of people, culture, media and urbanism that translates into our "living experiences". This has drawn me to explore various facets of designing experiences such as restoration and redevelopment of a heritage lake in Orissa; designing for 'sets' in Bollywood in Mumbai; to designing for art and mentorship program for the youth in Far Rockaway in New York City. An activist at heart, I believe this nuanced understanding of designed conditions can be leveraged to create a better quality of life for all; people, animals and the environment.
